Veterans Initiatives

Mayor Smith and the Lynnwood City Council have pledged to make Lynnwood a Veteran-Supportive City. We strive to create a place where our Nation's heroes can live, work, educate, recreate, and receive important access to services.

ABOUT THE MUSEUM: The Northwest Veterans Museum at Heritage Park will be a place for veterans and community members to share history, stories, and meet each other. In partnership with several Veterans Organizations, the City of Lynnwood is committed to making Lynnwood a Veteran-Supportive City where our nation's heroes can live, work, educate, recreate, and thrive. Our displays will primarily showcase items from WWI, WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: 10am-4pm guided tours, 11am performance by Edmonds High School Band, 12pm Ceremony featuring speakers and presentations.

GETTING THERE: Parking is very limited at Heritage Park, visitors are highly encouraged to park at the Lynnwood Convention Center, located at 3711 196th ST SW, where a free shuttle bus will be available for transportation to and from the museum.

Veterans One-Stop Resource Center

Launched in early 2016, the Veterans One-Stop Resource Center is open to better serve veterans and their families. The center is staffed by local professionals available to assist with referrals to Veterans Affairs, medical and employment assistance, career transitions, and even have a cup of coffee with friendly conversations.

The Veterans One-Stop Resource Center is open every Tuesday and the 1st Wednesday of each month from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Verdant Wellness Center, Madrona Room, located at 4710 196th St SW in Lynnwood.

Hero's Café

The Hero's Café is a monthly gathering for all veterans to focus on fostering positive outreach, interaction, and welfare within our community. The Hero's Café is open the last Tuesday of each month from 9am-3pm at the Verdant Wellness Center. Informational Flyer on the Hero's Café.
