Connect Lynnwood: Active & Accessible Plan

Project Description

Email list buttonLynnwood is a family-friendly community full of schools, parks, shopping, and other destinations. Connect Lynnwood will help us prioritize investments in transit, walking, and bicycling transportation options that support the health and well-being of people who live in, work in, and visit Lynnwood.

What is Connect Lynnwood?

Connect Lynnwood includes a variety of elements:

  • The Active Transportation Plan will update Lynnwood's existing walking and bicycling networks and identify key projects that improve safety and connections to important destinations.
  • School Outreach, Access, and Safety Plans will identify where walking and bicycling improvements could improve safety and encourage more students and their families to choose to walk or bike to school.
  • The Parks Access Plan improves Lynnwood residents' access to parks within a ten minute walk of their home.
  • A Complete Streets Policy will guide the efforts of all City departments in developing, operating, and maintaining a safe, cohesive, and efficient multimodal transportation system that balances the needs of all street users. As part of this effort, the City will update its bicycle and pedestrian street design standards applicable to all new projects.
