Surface Water Management Comprehensive Plan Update

Project Description

This project will perform a complete update of the City’s Surface Water Management Comprehensive Plan (SWMCP). The purpose of the SWMCP is to summarize the City’s approach to meeting stormwater regulatory requirements and addressing drainage and water quality problems. The last update of this plan was in 2009. The update will primarily focus on adapting to changing regulatory requirements, reviewing program goals and objectives, assessing needs, updating planned projects, reviewing maintenance and operations requirements, developing policy, reviewing fee structure, and reviewing the development/capital projects review process. The project will have a series of open houses to allow for public comment during the update of the plan as the project progresses.

Project Stage

The project began early 2017 and is ongoing.
