An online application must be completed in order to be considered for a position. All unsolicited resumes will be returned. Please fill out a Job Interest Card if you have an interest in receiving email notifications when a position opens up.

How to Apply: Public Safety Jobs 

Prior to applying for Entry Police Officer and/or Entry Firefighter/Paramedic positions with the City of Lynnwood, applicants must first pass the appropriate written and physical abilities testing process with Public SafetyTesting.com. Once an applicant has successfully passed the appropriate testing process with PublicSafetyTesting.com, their test scores will be forwarded to the City of Lynnwood and only those applicants will be eligible to apply for Entry Police Officer and/or Entry Firefighter/Paramedic positions as they become open. 

How to Apply: All Other Jobs

An online employment application must be submitted in order for you to be considered for an open position. The City accepts only online applications for positions that are open.  







To apply for an open position, go to Employment Opportunities and scroll down to view open positions.  Select the position you would like to apply for and once you have opened the job posting, click on 'Apply". If this is the first time you are applying using our online job application, you will need to create an account and select a Username and Password. After your account has been established, you can build an application by clicking on the "Build Job Application" link. This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening. Although you are able to attach items such as a resume to your online application, it is important that your application show all relevant education and experience. Applications may be rejected if incomplete. 

By applying online, you may access your application 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Online applications are stored on a secure site. Only authorized employees and hiring authorities have access to the information submitted.
