Making the healthy choice, the easy choice.

With participation of more than 150 stakeholders, the City of Lynnwood has drafted a 10-year Healthy Communities Action Plan. First released in November 2015, the Plan will be further developed to include implementation strategies, identify potential funding strategies, and develop community partnerships. The final plan will be submitted to the City Council and incorporated into the City's Comprehensive Plan in 2016.

Healthy Communities Action Plan

  • What is Healthy Communities?
    • Healthy Communities is about health equity. Its efforts rely on a combination of policy and programming to help make the healthy choice the easy choice. Healthy Communities works to identify and advocate for policies and environmental changes that make healthy food more available and affordable, increase access to safe opportunities for physical activity, and create and support strong, vibrant, social networks that promote social interaction and community cohesiveness.
