City’s Efforts toward I-502

The City of Lynnwood City Council on December 9, 2013 adopted two ordinances establishing moratoria regarding marijuana activities within the City. Ordinance No. 3039 establishes a moratorium on the acceptance and filing of applications for, and the licensing, establishment, location, operation, maintenance, and continuation of marijuana businesses and marijuana operations under I-502 (recreational marijuana). Ordinance Non 3040, establishes a moratorium on the acceptance and filing of applications for, and the licensing, establishment, location, operation, maintenance, and continuation of medical cannabis collective gardens. Both moratoriums expire on June 9, 2014. Both moratoriums may be extended by the Council.

The City of Lynnwood City Council on February 24, 2014 adopted Ordinance No. 3045 which established interim regulations prohibiting marijuana businesses, facilities, and licensing in the single-family and multi0family residential zones. The interim regulations expire on August 24, 2014. The interim regulations may be extended by the Council.
