Lynnwood City Council Approves Major City Center Project

On August 12, 2013 the Lynnwood City Council approved the development agreement with Lynnwood City Center Senior Living Associates Limited Partnership for the City Center exemption of the Transportation Impact Fee. The 308 unit development is the first to qualify for the City Center exemption.

In order to support Lynnwood City Center redevelopment objectives, the City also provided a streamlined permitting process. Below are the project timelines thus far: 

  • City Center SEPA Planned Action Environmental Review: (Under 2 weeks) 
  • Project Design Review: (Under 2 months) 
  • City Center Transportation Impact Fee Exemption: (Under 1 month for City Council approval)

The project was submitted to the City in May 2013 and construction is anticipated to begin Fall 2013.

The Lynnwood City Center Senior Living development will be located in the City Center-Core zone at 19501 40th Avenue West. The project provides a total of 308 residential units in an eight story building including two levels of underground parking, public plaza space, rooftop gardens, open space, and community rooms.

The development is sponsored by the Senior Housing Assistance Group (SHAG), Pacific Northern Construction Company, Inc., and Steve Smith Development. The project architect is Morgan Design Group, LLC.
