MEETING CANCELLED: Community Meeting Regarding Potential Marijuana Producer & Processing Licens

MEETING UPDATE: The community meeting to promote public awareness of an application to the Washington State Liquor Control Board (LCB), and to obtain input from the public has been cancelled.

On December 23, 2013, the City of Lynnwood received notification from the applicant that they had withdrawn their application to license a business in the City of Lynnwood.

Voter-approved Initiative 502 directed the LCB to establish licensing requirements and procedures for the production, processing, and retail sale of recreational marijuana. At this time, the City of Lynnwood does not have specific business license or land use regulations for marijuana-related businesses. In order to provide ample time to prepare and adopt appropriate rules, the City Council has enacted temporary moratoriums on City permits or licenses for both recreational and medical marijuana-related businesses.
