New Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers Make a Difference!

Looking for ways to give back? The City of Lynnwood Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Department believes that volunteers enhance our ability to maintain and improve the quality of life in the community. We count on our volunteers and their dedication to help provide those services that best meet the diverse needs of the community.
The mission of our Volunteer Program is to bring our citizens together to achieve a stronger, more connected community while enabling Lynnwood Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts to continue to offer an excellent variety of high quality and affordable recreational, educational, and cultural programs through the use of volunteer expertise.

We offer these exciting new opportunities:

ARTS
Seeking volunteers to support the Arts Commission by serving on the Program, Public Art or Gallery & Exhibit committees. Volunteers do not need to be artists or have art-related experience. Ideal candidates are teens or adults with an interest to work with the Lynnwood Arts Commission whose mission is to support universal access to diverse arts to enrich our community’s quality of life and economic vitality.

HERITAGE PARK
Seeking Visitor Information Center Travel Counselors and Park Docents to serve at Lynnwood's Heritage Park. Heritage Park celebrates the agricultural, transportation and social heritage of Lynnwood from its roots in the rural community of Alderwood Manor formed in 1919 and serves as one of three Visitor Information Centers for the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau.

Getting Started
Interested candidates should download and fill out the Volunteer Application form. If interested the ARTS or Visitor Information Center, please select the "other" box and indicate your interest area. Mail or deliver completed applications to Recreation Center Attention: Sarah Olson.
