Veterans One-Stop Resource Center Now Open in Lynnwood

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 1, there will be a new Veterans One-Stop Resource Center open in Lynnwood to better serve veterans and their families. The center will be staffed by local professionals available to assist with referrals to Veterans Affairs, medical and employment assistance, career transitions, and even have a cup of coffee with friendly conversations.
The Veterans One-Stop Resource Center will open every Tuesday and the 1st Wednesday of each month from 9am-3pm at the Verdant Community Wellness Center, Madrona Room, located at 4710 196th St SW in Lynnwood.
"The ultimate goal is to make Lynnwood and south Snohomish County a veteran-supportive community," said Mayor Nicola Smith, "we need to be a community that embraces veterans and their families by supporting their needs, connecting them to needed services and honoring their service in our Armed Forces."
For more information, contact Gina Israel in the Executive Office at 425-670-5004 or email gisrael@lynnwoodwa.gov.

The opening of the Veterans One-Stop Resource Center is a result of the passion, commitment, and expertise of 40+ veterans professionals and organizations such as the Snohomish County Human Services, Work Source, Edmonds Community College, the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs, and many others. The Center's location is provided in partnership by the Verdant Health Commission and is staffed by professionals and volunteers. The Veterans One-Stop Resource Center is a 12-month pilot project to assess the needs and demand of veterans and their families in our community.
