Park Users, Tell Us What You Think!

Tell Us What You Think

This summer, we're asking park users if Lynnwood's park and recreation facilities meet your needs. City staff are gathering your thoughts, feelings, and concerns related to our park level-of-service to help us ensure your park system is safe, welcoming and equitable for all community members.

You can provide your feedback in two ways.

1. Visit a park and take a park user survey. This survey will help us to understand how well each neighborhood park is currently meeting the needs of park users, how people use the park system, and where to focus future improvements.

If you’d like to participate in this survey, you’ll need a mobile device and find the "Have Your Say!" sign posted in the park with the QR code for the survey. Scan the QR code on your camera and it will redirect you to the online survey which will take about 3 minutes to complete. You may take the survey any time you visit a park in Lynnwood this summer.

2. Participate in an online discussion. You are invited to post a comment to the discussion thread under the "Tell Us What You Think" link on the PARC Plan Update webpage. We want to hear your concerns, suggestions, and what you like.

The survey and online discussion will be open all summer with results and comments to be shared with the City of Lynnwood Parks & Recreation Board this fall and used to update our comprehensive plan next year.

PARC Plan Update

In 2016, the City Council adopted a new ten-year comprehensive plan for the Lynnwood Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Department called the 2025 Parks, Arts, Recreation and Conservation Comprehensive (PARC) Plan. The PARC Plan is a long-range planning document that works together with the City of Lynnwood Comprehensive Plan and the Capital Facilities Plan to provide goals and an action plan for providing park and recreation services through 2025.

The City of Lynnwood is required to update the Parks, Arts, Recreation and Conservation Plan every six (6) years to ensure that programs, services, and recreation facilities are meeting the needs of community member. To prepare for the 2022 update, we are continuing to research and evaluate how well our facilities and programs are equitable, distributed throughout the community, and meet the changing needs of the community.
