The City of Lynnwood's Healthy Lynnwood Grant program supports the community coming together to help everyone live more artful lives. The Arts contribute to our individual well-being, the well-being of our communities, and to our local economies.

Projects considered for 2024 grant awards will be around community art activities and programs.

Is Your Project Eligible to Apply for a Grant?

You may apply for a Healthy Lynnwood Grant if the following statements apply:

  • The project will take place in City of Lynnwood limits
  • The project is free and open to all members of the public
  • Involves community members in creating and completing the project
  • Demonstrates a benefit to the community
  • Will have funds or in-kind contributions from other sources (this is a matching grant)
  • The project must be completed by December 1, 2024

Project costs NOT eligible for funding include but are not limited to:

  • Food or beverage
  • Alcohol purchases
  • Political or other lobbying events
  • Enhancements that are not visible to the general public
  • Fuel
  • Gift cards

Application Process, Deadlines, and Notification: 

  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and will be reviewed: March, June, and September 
  • Award decisions and specific conditions, if any, that need to be met before a contract with a specific timeline and scope of work/activities to be done in the project, are executed.
  • Applicants will be notified by email of grant funding decisions. 

 

Individuals, groups such as neighbors, and community organizations who want to come together to help people live more artful lives. The City can pay by check or credit card. Check payments require a W9 form.

Projects considered for 2024 grant awards will be around community arts activities and programs.

All applicant groups must be open and inclusive, actively engage diverse community members, and be significantly composed of people who live, work or organize in Lynnwood.

Matching Funds:  The grantee must match the grant award with contributions of volunteer labor, donated materials, professional services, and/or cash. All projects require a 1 to 1 match ratio (1:1) which means $1 in value of grantee match is contributed for every $1 dollars in money granted by the City. Documenting match is very important and match pledge forms should be submitted no later than the end of the project date to the Healthy Communities Division.

City staff reviews Healthy Lynnwood Grant for approval. All projects must benefit the community - no project shall be for the benefit of any individual or private entity. Projects that require ongoing funding will not be considered for funding. Projects must be completed within the calendar year they are approved.

 

Community Art such as: Art Exhibit, Art Festival, Art Workshop, Live Performance, Street Art, Guerilla Art, Yarn Bombing, Free Little Library, Free Little Art Studio, Free Little Pantry, Community Mural, Mosaics and/or Sculpture
