Update: Thank you to all the families that registered (or have tried to register) for Kamp Kookamunga.  We encourage you to check back on those waitlists, and get your name on it, if there is an opening.  We are already reaching out to families as spots for Kamp become available.  If you do get contacted, please respond promptly so we can get you booked, or move to the next person!  Again, thank you for your continued interest in our camp and we look forward to seeing you this summer!

 

Looking for a summer camp? Come spend a wild and wacky summer at Kamp Kookamunga! A place where you can make new friends and create lasting memories. Kamp Kookamunga is packed with awesome traditions like crazy counselors dressed in costumes and sensational skits performed live each Friday. Your weekly adventures will include theme related arts-n-crafts, silly songs, lake/pool swimming trips, goofy games and field trips to far off places, and let's not forget nature hikes exploring our 40-acre wooded park.

Please read through this page closely as we have updated a few things this year!
First off, we have some exciting additions for this summer:

  1. We are adding more spots to camp to help meet the demand.
  2. Registration will begin at 5:30AM!

 

Registration details:

  • Lynnwood Residents: Registration begins on February 29th at 5:30AM.
  • Non Residents: Registration begins on March 1st at 5:30AM.

Online

Step 1.Does your child qualify?

Kamp Kookamunga is for students that will be enrolled in 1st-7th grade in the fall of 2024, regardless of age.

The Junior Counselor program is for students that will be entering 8th-12th grade in the fall of 2024, regardless of age.

Step 2.Determine your option for payment

You have two options for payment, "Pay In Full" or "Payment Plan".  You can read more about these two options on the right column of this page.

By registering online, you are agreeing to the "Pay in Full" option. If you would like to use the "Payment Plan", please see tabs for registering "In Person" or "On Phone".

Step 3.Determine your weeks

We offer 10 weeks of summer camp, with each week having a different theme. You may want to base your selection on what theme your child is interested in or based on when you need an activity for your child. Make a note if you need "Extended Care"  for those weeks. We offer AM Extended Care from 7:00-9:30am and PM Extended Care from 3:30-6:00pm. Plan ahead as these spots fill quickly.  You can view information for each week under the "Weekly Themes and Field Trips" button at the bottom of this page.

Step 4.Do you have an account in Perfect Mind?

Perfect Mind is our registration system. Once you set up your account, you will be able to register and pay for classes online. To set up your account, click here.

Step 5.Register for camp 

Registration begins:

  • Lynnwood Residents: Registration begins on February 29th at 5:30AM.
  • Non Residents: Registration begins on March 1st at 5:30AM.

To register as a camper, click here, or as a Junior Counselor, click here.  (You will not be able to see camp information through these links until registration officially opens)

  • You will see a list of Kamp Kookamunga and Extended Care sessions.
  • To select a week, click "Book"
  • Read through the overview page, click "Book" again.
  • Select the names of those you are registering for the week and click "next".
  • Look over the "fees and extras" page and click "next".
  • To complete your transaction, click "Checkout" to move to the payment page, or...
  • To add another week, click "Book another event" (You will now see the main "Select an Activity" page, click "Camps" under the Youth section and you will be back to the list of camp sessions.)

Step 6.Didn't get in?

Be sure to get on the waitlist by clicking the "waitlist" button on the registration page! We experience a lot of changes to our rosters as we get closer to summer. You will be called if a spot opens up for you.   

Please note: If you are trying to get more than one child into camp and have to place them all on the waitlist, we will still call when each individual spot opens up. If you are concerned about taking the spot and the sibling not getting in, please call 425-670-5524 to discuss your options.

Visit the Lynnwood Recreation Center during normal working hours, to talk to a Customer Service representative to register for the weeks you are interested in. 

Step 5.Didn't get in?

  • Forms and a picture must be turned in before the first day of camp. Please click on the link in the right hand column to submit paperwork.
  • Please provide your child with a sack lunch and drink daily. There is no refrigerator or microwave for campers to use.
  • We encourage children to bring water bottles.
  • Sun Screen! Protecting your child from sun exposure is a priority! We provide time before swimming for campers to apply sunscreen. We do have a limited supply of spray sunscreen should your child forget.
  • No cell phones, video games, game boys, iPods or other toys should be brought to camp, as we cannot take responsibility if the items are lost, stolen or broken.
  • Campers are assigned to groups according to age.
  • We are not able to accommodate group assignment requests.
  •  Due to limitations of group size, we are not able to switch children into other groups once camp has started. Special circumstances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  •  Siblings will not be put in the same group.

 

  • Parents must sign-in their child when dropping them off at camp and sign-out their child when picking them up.
  • A child must be signed out with an adult over the age of 18 and listed on the General Release Form.
  • We will be requesting that parents show I.D. at the time of pick up.
  • We encourage all campers not to leave early but stay until camp is over - we don’t want them to miss out on the fun.

 

  • Please call to let us know!  We will need to adjust staffing to accommodate for campers staying late.
  • A late fee is strictly enforced and payable that day. The late fee policy is $1 up to the first 5 minutes and $1 for each additional minute thereafter.
