A few details:

  1. Each day we will provide time to get school work done and to work with Zoom schedules in the afternoon. After camper’s school requirements are done, we will focus on kids being kids, through playing, discovering and connecting outside!
  2. We plan to have “fixed” locations for each group to do their school activities.  Each parent will need to fill out a "homework form" to better help us navigate what your child should be working on and when their Zoom meetings are.
  3. Campers will be divided into groups that will consist of 8 campers, 1 Junior Counselor and 1 Counselor.  These will be their core groups that they stay with throughout the week. (We will create separate groups for those participating in RECess Wednesdays!)
  4. Each group will have a schedule that will designate where they will be located on our city campus at any given moment.  They will rotate around the park to the various locations so that there are only 10 people at any location at a time. Just like during the summer, our counselors will get to plan their own activities for the week based on our planning requirements: science, literature, art, games, etc.  However, the plans will be approved based on their ability to be done while socially distancing from each other. We will start each day with lunch time!
  5. We will have 1 drop-off location, located on the North side of the Recreation Center. Upon arrival at the drop-off location, parents will remain in their car, driving up to the first “check point” where the child’s temperature will be taken.  The parent will be asked a few screening questions about their child and, if all goes well, they will then move on to the second check point.  At this time, parents will be asked to sign their child in, and your child will get out of the car and walk to their counselor group.  If a child has a fever, is showing symptoms of being sick or has been around someone who is sick with COVID 19,  then they will not be able to attend camp that day and will need to meet the guidelines for returning to camp as stated by the Health District.
  6. To cut down on touchpoints, we will be moving our paperwork to digital copies.
  7. Each Counselor group will have a wagon which will include a traveling hand washing station, hand sanitizer, and an individual bag of supplies for each camper.  These bags will consist of markers, pens, scissors, glue sticks, etc.  At the end of the week the counselors will sanitize each item and create new bags for the following week.
  8. Per Governor Inslee’s order, all campers and staff will be required to wear masks while at camp.  We will allow campers to step away from the group to bring their masks down and get some nice deep breaths of fresh air!  We will also ensure all campers get plenty of water breaks throughout the day.  If your camper arrives to camp without a mask we will have disposable masks for your camper.
  9. It’s going to be rainy and cold, but outdoors is still the best option!   We will be outside during this program with the exception of school time.  Please plan to send your child dressed for the weather conditions even if that means full raingear or snowpants!
  10. Registration: We want this to be flexible for you.  You can sign up for each week, one week a month, or just Wednesdays… You get to choose! If you would like to set up a payment plan and pay on the Monday of your registered week, please call Customer Service at 425-670-5732 to set that up.

Campers are asked to bring a backpack with them each day to camp so they can carry their sack lunch, water bottles and jacket.

MASKS

Per Governor Inslee’s order, all campers will be required to wear masks while at camp.  Yes, we know it’s hot and they can be uncomfortable!  We will allow campers to step away from the group to bring their masks down and get some nice deep breaths of fresh air!  We will also be ensuring all campers get plenty of water breaks throughout the day.  If your camper arrives to camp without a mask we will have disposable masks for your camper.

WHAT NOT TO BRING

No cell phones, video games, game boys, iPods or other toys should be brought to camp, as we cannot take responsibility if the items are lost, stolen or broken.

  • Campers are assigned to groups according to age and/or grade level.
  • We are not able to accommodate group assignment requests.
  •  Due to limitations of group size, we are not able to switch children into other groups once camp has started. Special circumstances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  •  We try not to put siblings in the same group.

Your drop off and pick up location each day will be at the Lynnwood Recreation Center.  Please enter the parking lot from behind the Fire Station and this will take you straight to the parking lot.
