Damyang, South Korea

On February 22, 2016, the Lynnwood City Council formally approved the City of Damyang, South Korea as the Sister City to the City of Lynnwood.

Damyang is located in Jeollanam-do County, South Korea. The city is located approximately four hours south of South Korea's capital city of Seoul. Damyang has a population of 51,000, and is rich with cultural history, events and places. Damyang is most famous for bamboo and they hold an annual Bamboo Festival in early May. 

In 2016, a delegation from Damyang visited the City of Lynnwood, and in 2018 a Lynnwood delegation visited Damyang.

Additionally, there have been two student delegation trips between Lynnwood High School and Damyang High School.
