Volunteers building rain barrels

Join the City of Lynnwood and the Snohomish Conservation District in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day by building rain barrels!

Rain barrels give you a ready supply of water for your garden and help reduce stormwater runoff. Volunteers are invited to learn how to build rain barrels where the Snohomish Conservation District up-cycles 55-gallon drums and converts them into rainwater harvesting tools.

As an incentive, if you volunteer you can save $15 off the cost of a rain barrel that’s ready to install. Other attendees can buy rain barrels for $50 while supplies last.

Volunteers will build barrels from 10 AM- 12PM. Rain barrels will then be available for purchase in the Lowes parking lot until 2 PM.
