In April of 2017 Lynnwood Municipal Court began using an electronic document and scheduling software called OCourt. OCourt is a Web application developed by CodeSmart, Inc. that can be accessed 24/7 by registered users. OCourt is not a Case Management System, nor does it currently allow for e-filing. Lynnwood Municipal Court uses both OCourt and JIS to efficiently manage its caseload.
All of Lynnwood’s criminal and infraction (non-photo enforcement) documents are created electronically in OCourt and stored on the court’s document management system, ApplicationXtender. Lynnwood’s long has physical files as all of our files were converted to electronic files once OCourt was implemented. As OCourt does not yet include an e-filing component, our court is “paper lite”, but not yet completely paperless.
All attorneys practicing in Lynnwood Municipal Court will need to register as an OCourt user. Users will find OCourt to be efficient and user friendly. Please click on the instruction document below to get started. We have also provided a helpful do’s and don’ts document to assist you.
