Healthy Lynnwood Grants-CLOSED

The City of Lynnwood Healthy Lynnwood Grants program supports the community coming together to encourage civic engagement, and promote the general interest and well-being of our Lynnwood Community.

Projects considered for grant awards in 2022 will be around Community Events and Community Arts activities.

Is Your Project Eligible to Apply for a Grant?

You may apply for a Healthy Lynnwood Grant if the following statements apply:

The project will take place in City of Lynnwood limits
The project is free and open to all members of the public
Involves community members in creating and completing the project
Demonstrates a benefit to the community
Will have funds or in-kind contributions from other sources (this is a matching grant)
The project must be completed by December 15, 2022

Project costs NOT eligible for funding include but are not limited to:

Food or beverage
Alcohol purchases
Political or other lobbying events
Enhancements that are not visible to the general public
Fuel
Gift cards

Applications are accepted on a quarterly basis: January-March, April-June, July-September, October-December

Award decisions and specific conditions, if any, that need to be met before a contract with a specific timeline and scope of work/activities to be done in the project, is executed.

Applicants will be notified within two weeks of submission of grant award or denial.

Who We Fund

Lynnwood residents, neighborhood groups, and community organizations who want to come together to encourage civic engagement, and promote the general interest and well-being of our Lynnwood Community.

Projects considered for grant awards in 2021 will be around Community Events and Community Arts activities.

All applicant groups must be open and inclusive, actively engage diverse community members, and be significantly composed of people who live, work and organize in Lynnwood.

What We Fund

Matching Funds: The grantee must match the grant award with contributions of volunteer labor, donated materials, professional services, and/or cash. All projects require a 1 to 1 match ratio (1:1) which means $1 in value of grantee match is contributed for every $1 dollars in money granted by the City. Documenting match is very important and match pledge forms should be submitted no later than the end of the project date to the Healthy Communities Division. See attached matching document form.

City staff reviews Healthy Lynnwood Grant for approval. All projects must benefit the community - no project shall be for the benefit of any individual or private entity. Projects that require ongoing funding will not be considered for funding. Projects must be completed within the calendar year they are approved.

Mini-Grant Project Examples

Community-building Event such as; Food Cultural Recognition, Multicultural Festival, Outdoor Entertainment
Community Art such as; Live Performance, Art Festival/Exhibit, Community Mural, Mosaics and/or Sculpture)
