Storm Drain Marking

Do you know where storm drains lead? Many people think storm drains carry water to a water treatment facility. You may be surprised to learn that this water flows directly into local waterways, exactly as it enters catch basins. This flow of untreated stormwater is the leading cause of pollution in our local watersheds, and Puget Sound.

To educate the public, the City is labeling storm drains that tell you where this water drains. You can help us with this effort!

Adopt a Catch Basin

In addition to Storm Drain Marking, we are launching a NEW Adopt a Catch Basin program. Adopt a catch basin in your neighborhood or area you frequent! By adopting a catch basin, you can help us keep stormwater clean, let us know if maintenance is needed, and help prevent flooding in Lynnwood. To learn more and sign up, visit our Adopt a Catch Basin page

Would you like to get involved?

Please fill out our Volunteer Application to let us know more about you and your volunteer goals.
