SUKHWINDER ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT (ADU)

Application and Project Description: On June 9, 2023, an application for an attached Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) was submitted to the City of Lynnwood to incorporate a 617 square feet ADU within a proposed single-family residential dwelling. The property is zoned Residential 8,400 square feet (RS-8). The application was deemed complete on June 20, 2023.

Approval Required: Accessory Dwelling Unit: This proposal requires approval of an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) land use permit in accordance with LMC 21.42.110(G). The proposal will be reviewed for compliance with City of Lynnwood and Washington State requirements for accessory dwelling unit applications. The Development & Business Services Director will then make a determination to grant or deny ADU approval. The Director’s decision will be public noticed by posting on the project site and in the Everett Herald newspaper. No public hearing will be held unless the Director’s decision is appealed. This project required associated building and development permits.
Other Permits Required: Additional permits, including but not limited to building, mechanical, and electrical permits, will also be needed by the applicant.
