The Development and Business Services Department is responsible for Lynnwood's long-range planning, development review and approvals, environmental reviews, permitting of land use and building projects, business licenses, code enforcement, City Center and light rail coordination, tourism promotion and assisting in the orderly growth and development of the City.

Current Planning

Current planning reviews land use applications and related development permits for compliance with zoning codes and state environmental requirements. Proposals and reviewed for compliance with the City's codes and design guidelines.

Sound's Transit's Lynnwood Link light rail will be open for service at the Lynnwood Transit Center and future City Center Light Rail Station 2024.
