Lund's Gulch
Lynnwood’s open space includes undeveloped natural areas, urban greenbelts and undeveloped park sites. The City strives to preserve its natural resources for the conservation of important habitats and for passive recreational use whenever possible. The following natural areas include preserved open space properties and undeveloped park land.

Lund's Gulch

Lund's Gulch Watershed Basin - 77 Acres
The City of Lynnwood has preserved land in Lund’s Gulch to protect sensitive areas and wildlife habitat from the impacts of development, and to preserve this undisturbed natural area in public ownership. Lund’s Gulch is located in a local watershed basin with mature second growth forest, steep slopes, wetlands and a salmonid stream, Lund’s Gulch Creek, which flows through the basin and discharges into Puget Sound.

 

Lund's Creek Open Space

48th Avenue W / 160th Street SW – 21 Acres
This property is located in Lynnwood’s Municipal Urban Growth Area and was acquired with Snohomish County Mitigation funds in 2005 to preserve and protect the headwaters of Lund’s Creek and its associated wetlands.

 

Scriber Creek Open Space

204th Street SW / 44th Avenue W – 2.4 Acres
This property is located in Lynnwood’s Municipal Urban Growth Area and was acquired with Snohomish County Conservation Futures Program funds in 1996 to preserve and protect the wetlands associated with Scriber Creek.

 

188th Street Mini Park Site

188th Street SW / 52nd Ave W – 1 Acre
This property is located adjacent to a City-maintained storm water detention facility. The upland portion was reserved for future development of a mini park in the residential neighborhood.

 

Rowe Park Site

60th Avenue W / 185th Place SW – 2.39 Acres
This property was purchased in 2000 for future development of a neighborhood park. The park’s master plan was completed in 2004.  Development of this park is contingent on available funding.

 

Doc Hageman Park Site

178th Street SW / 14th Avenue W – 7.69 Acre
This property is located in Lynnwood’s Municipal Urban Growth Area and was acquired with a Snohomish County Neighborhood Improvement grant in 2002 for future development as a community park. The park’s master plan was completed in 2004.  Development of this park is contingent on future annexation and available funding.

 

Manor Way Site

Manor Way / 156th Street SW - 9 Acres
This property is located in Lynnwood’s Municipal Urban Growth Area and was acquired with Snohomish County Conservation Futures Program funds in 1997 for future passive development.
