Chelsea works at the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries as a WERC (Work Equity Research Center) Program Specialist 4. She is actively involved in many state Business Resource Groups, including B.U.I.L.D. (Blacks United in Leadership & Diversity) and ICSEW (Interagency Committee of State Employed Women), and is an alum of L&I’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Employee Advisory Committee. She is trained in Lean Six Sigma and is a certified Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Qualified Administrator.

Originally from Schaumburg, IL, Chelsea made Lynnwood home in 2010 and remains deeply engaged in the community. She is a proud member of Rho Sigma Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Delta Psi Sigma Philo Affiliate of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and previously served as Chair of the City of Lynnwood’s DEI Commission.

Chelsea loves her “little big city” and can often be found exploring local parks with her two chihuahuas, Sam and Joe. She is the proud mom of two sons, Ammon & Chris, and spends Friday nights under the lights of Interlake High School with her amazing daughter-in-law, Brittany, cheering on the Saints as Chris is the school’s head football coach. Chelsea is a long-time member of Madison Temple, Church of God in Christ, Washington State’s first C.O.G.I.C church established in 1926. In her free time, she enjoys staying active, cooking/baking, reading, and spending time with family.
