I am a lifelong resident of Lynnwood, raised in the Alderwood-Manor neighborhood to a working-class family. I now live near North Lynnwood Park with my wife, Hannah, and our three sons—Tomas, Asher, and Paul.
I’ve spent most of my life working with my hands, starting in residential construction at the age of 16. For the past 10 years, I’ve worked as a union carpenter, contributing to important local infrastructure projects such as the Lynnwood Light Rail Station, Spruce Elementary School, and Edmonds College. I currently teach a pre-apprenticeship program at Edmonds College, helping young adults find pathways into the skilled trades.
Through both volunteer work and my own lived experiences, I’ve developed a strong passion for supporting people facing homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges. I am also actively involved with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 425, where I serve as Treasurer and have Chaired multiple committees.
In my free time, I enjoy making music on a variety of instruments, with an emphasis on guitar, mandolin, ukulele, and tenor banjo. I also practice luthiery as a hobby, doing basic repairs and occasionally building instruments. Beyond music, I create short-form content that highlights local landmarks and community events.
