Multiple Arrests Made in Drive-By Shootings

LYNNWOOD, WA (March 19, 2020) - Early Sunday morning March 15, 2020, our officers responded to two drive-by shootings within five hours of each other.

At 1:45 am dispatch received multiple 911 calls regarding five to seven gunshots fired in the 6700 block of 182nd St SW.  A neighbor later discovered four casings near her house; detectives returned to the scene and found six bullet holes in an unoccupied house in the 6600 block of 182nd St SW.

Just after 6:30 am dispatch received another shots-fired call from a resident in the 6700 block of Penny Lane, less than a mile from the first reported scene.  The caller said she was sleeping when she heard the wall tile explode in her bathroom.  Investigating officers discovered a bullet-- consistent with an AR-15-- traveled through the exterior bathroom wall, shattering tile on an interior wall.

Through interviews with witnesses, detectives were able to determine the two shootings were related and the houses were specifically targeted.  No one was injured in either incident.

Overnight Wednesday into early Thursday morning, detectives arrested three people in connection to the shootings, two juveniles and a 19-year-old man.

Anyone who may have surveillance footage of either incident is asked to please contact Detective Sattarov at rsattarov@lynnwoodwa.gov.
