To simplify and streamline permitting, the City of Lynnwood is developing a pre-approved DADU construction plan program to offer a faster, easier and more predictable design and permitting process.
The submission window is now open from May 20, 2026 through July 2, 2026. We invite architects, designers, and builders to submit their work for consideration. Review our Submission Guide for information on submission requirements, process, and selection criteria. Please note that owners of plans selected for pre-approval will be required to sign a Memorandum of Agreement in order for their work to be featured as a pre-approved DADU plan set.
