LYNNWOOD, WA (January 31, 2020) - This evening at about 7:00 PM, police and emergency medical units responded to the area of Highway 99 and 200th ST SW for a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries. Initial reports from witnesses indicated the pedestrian was struck attempting to run across Highway 99 by a vehicle traveling northbound. Additional witness information indicated the vehicle traveling northbound had a green light, but police are continuing to piece together information. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The vehicle involved was a Ford F150 pickup truck. The pickup truck was being driven by an adult male. The driver's spouse and child were also in the truck. None of the occupants in the truck were injured. No further information is being released on the deceased at this time.
Expect roadway closures on northbound Highway 99 between the 20200 block and 196th ST SW. Additionally, 200th ST SW is closed between Highway 99 and 60th Ave W.
