Permaculture
Permawhat? The term permaculture combines the words permanent and culture, or permanent and agriculture, and that is the first hint to what it's all about. Permaculture gardening is a special approach to farming by using sustainable architecture, aquaponics, philosophy, horticulture and design techniques. Permaculture integrates land, resources, people and the environment through mutually beneficial synergies – imitating the no waste, closed loop systems seen in diverse natural systems.
Janet Sigler shares a bit more information on permaculture in this video.
