The Treasury team is responsible for management of investments; banking and cash receipts; taxes; and accounts receivable. This work group also provides reception services at City Hall.

The City of Lynnwood has an admissions tax of .05 for each ticket sold.

Washington state law authorizes cities and counties to tax gambling activities. 
RCW 9.46.110 sets the maximum rates at which cities, towns, and counties may tax gambling activities. The maximum rates vary depending on whether the gambling activity is conducted by commercial stimulant operators (i.e., for-profit businesses) or by charitable or nonprofit organizations.

Washington state law provides the authority to the City of Lynnwood to impose excise taxes on utility services.
RCW 35.21.870 sets the maximum rates at which cities or towns max impose excise taxes on businesses doing certain types of business within their boundaries.

The 2024 City of Lynnwood sales tax rate is currently 10.6%. From the dollar bill graphic below, you will see that 9.4 cents of every dollar goes to the City of Lynnwood to fund your city services such as police, roads, parks, drinking water, sewer, etc. Additionally, the Transportation Benefit District of the City of Lynnwood receives 0.9 cents of every dollar, which was approved by Lynnwood voters in 2016. This portion of sales tax goes to fund transportation projects such as paving, chip sealing, sidewalks, traffic enhancements, and other capital projects.

The 2024 City of Lynnwood property tax levy rate is $0.53 per $1,000 of assessed value (AV). From the dollar bill graphic below, you will see that 6 cents of every dollar paid in Property Tax goes to the City of Lynnwood to fund your city services such as police, roads, parks, drinking water, sewer, etc.
