Victim Resource Page

At the Lynnwood Police Department, we are committed to supporting victims of crime.

Our Victim Services Coordinator, Tiffany Krusey, acts as a liaison between crime victims, the prosecutor’s office, and the detectives handling the cases. Tiffany reaches out to all victims of domestic violence, as well as victims of other crimes, when necessary, to guide them through the criminal justice system. She also provides information about services available throughout the county and creates a child-friendly environment for victims and their families.

If you are a victim or know someone who may need assistance from our Victim Services Coordinator, you can contact Tiffany Krusey following this link: Victim Services Coordinator

How to Report a Sexual Assault

Options for Reporting

Seek then Speak- End Violence Against Women International’s Seek then Speak self-guided tool. Seek then Speak offers a way for survivors to explore options and get answers to questions they may have regarding Sexual Assault, Crime Victims Rights, Victim Advocacy, Medical Care, and Reporting to Police. It also offers Survivors a confidential way to document and gather critical information about their assault and begin the reporting process. For more information about this reporting tool, visit the Seek Then Speak Official Site.

If you choose to begin the reporting process with Seek then Speak you have several options below for getting the PDF generated by the tool to the Lynnwood Police Department when/if you choose to do so. You can also choose to contact us by any of these methods to begin reporting even if you choose not to use Seek then Speak.

In person– You can come to the Lynnwood Police Department (check for front desk hours) and speak with a patrol officer in person about reporting.

On the phone– You can call 911 or the non-emergency line 425-407-3999 to speak with an officer over the phone or arrange to meet the officer at a Lynnwood location of your choosing to answer your questions and begin the reporting process.

Through an advocate– You can contact Providence Intervention Center for Assault and Abuse, our local community based advocacy group who offers free, confidential sexual assault advocacy, forensic medical exams, therapy, and support. They can assist you in determining what the next best step for you is.

No matter which way you choose to contact the Lynnwood Police Department we believe in providing survivors of sexual assault with as much control over their report and any subsequent criminal investigation as the law allows (unless legally mandated: domestic violence, child abuse, child sexual assault, a victim in continued physical danger, or in other rare circumstances such as a significant threat to public safety).
