After five years of service, Council Member Julieta Altamirano-Crosby announced her immediate resignation from the Lynnwood City Council.
Last night, Council Member Altamirano-Crosby announced her resignation from the Council in a letter read by Council Member Patrick Decker. She cited her recent election to serve as the District 2 Snohomish County PUD Commissioner as her reason for leaving.

Lynnwood City Council Adopts 2025-2026 Biennial Budget

Last night, the Lynnwood City Council adopted the 2025-2026 Biennial Budget and 2025 Property Tax Levy. The adopted budget lays out the City's estimates for revenue and expenses, with a $420 million biennial budget for all funds including $158 million general fund budget. The adopted budget will ensure the City maintains its current level of service while increasing capacity in critical areas.

Mayor and Staff Present 2025-2026 Preliminary Biennial Budget

On Monday night, Mayor Christine Frizzell presented the Preliminary 2025-2026 Biennial Budget to the City Council on behalf of the City of Lynnwood. The Budget lays out the City’s educated calculation of revenue and expenses we expect to come in and go out of the General Fund, with an Operating Revenue of $145 million and Operating Expenses of $143 million.
