The Police Chief's Community Advisory Committee was formed in early 2018 as part of the Lynnwood Police Department's continuing efforts to connect and engage with our community. The committee is made up of a diverse group of Lynnwood residents, business owners, faith-based leaders, and educators. The committee's role includes but is not limited to helping identify crimes that impact the quality of life in Lynnwood, developing effective public outreach programs, and strategizing how to best message and communicate with the populations we serve. In 2019 the committee members were instrumental in creating a new Public Affairs and Communications Manager position for the department; that position was filled in early 2020.
The group meets with Police Chief Cole Langdon and other department staff on a regular basis.
