VINELink is a nationwide service for keeping victims or concerned citizens informed about the custody status of inmates.  Users may search for inmates in custody as well as sign up to receive alerts about changes in that inmates custody status. Alerts can be received by phone, email, TTY and text message.

Phone call SERVICES are CURRENTly SUSPENDED due to construction

Inmates can make collect phone calls only. Inmates are not able to receive incoming calls and jail officers will not pass messages to inmates.

If you can't accept collect calls from an inmate (most mobile phones do not allow you to accept incoming collect calls) you must set up an account with our phone service provider at https://securustech.net/.

If you experience a technical or billing issue, please contact Securustech via their website or by phone. Jail Officers are not able to assist.

Inmate Mail services SERVICES are CURRENTly SUSPENDED due to construction

Address mail to an inmate will be provided in the near future. 

The only items an inmate may receive are soft cover books and reading materials sent directly from a publisher or retailer (ie. Amazon, Barnes & Noble). Packages sent from a private party or packages containing restricted materials will be denied and returned to sender.

NOTICE: All incoming and outgoing mail will be opened and inspected by Jail Officers. Obscene or inappropriate materials are not allowed. Introducing contraband to a correctional facility (through mail or by another means) is a felony. Incoming legal mail will be opened and inspected for contraband in the presence of the inmate.


Visitation SERVICES are CURRENTly SUSPENDED due to construction

General visitation at the Lynnwood Jail is done by video and in-person at the Lynnwood Police Department.  In person visitation can be arranged for attorneys, clergy or medical/mental health officials.

All inmates housed at the Lynnwood Jail who have been arraigned (had a first appearance in court after initial arrest) and who are not housed in disciplinary segregation are eligible for video visitation.  Visits are subject to approval per jail guidelines. 

Electronic home monitoring 

Electronic Home Monitoring (EHM) is an alternative to jail that must be approved by the Court. You will be restricted to your residence except if the Court approves you to leave for a specific purpose. Your activities will be monitored by an ankle bracelet which you wear.

Please completely fill out the below application and submit it as soon as possible. The Detention Programs Officer will review your application and contact you within two weeks to setup an appointment to start.

The cost for EHM is $15 a day. Half of the total cost is due at your appointment to start. The remaining balance can be scheduled payments that are paid in full a week before your release date.

Community service

Community Service (CS) is an alternative to jail that must approved by the Court. You will perform tasks at approved community locations. The program has a $30 fee.

 

Please completely fill out the below application and submit it as soon as possible with fee.  Once done, you may contact any of the community service locations below.  Completed CS hours need to be turned in to the Detention Programs Officer and Court.

The Lynnwood Jail does not offer extensions on Court Commitments.  Please contact your attorney.

bail/bonds

Bail or bond amounts can be found on the Inmate Roster.
Lynnwood Municipal Jail Inmate Inquiry

Cash bail can be posted directly to Lynnwood Police Department front desk.

Bond companies generally charge a non-refundable fee in proportion to the bail amount in order to post a bond for an inmate's release. Please contact a specific bonding company for details for their terms. Bonds are accepted in person from the authorized bonding agents only. Lynnwood Jail does not provide referrals to any specific bonding company.

Lynnwood Jail does not offer commissary services.


inmate property release

Inmate property will not be released except in urgent circumstances with jail supervisor authorization.


dropping off property

Property listed below, must first be approved by a custody officer and the inmate must have been in custody for seven days or more before the jail will accept it.

  • 2 plain white shirts without pockets or markings
  • 2 pairs of underwear
  • 2 pairs of socks
  • Eyeglasses

medication

Lynnwood Jail will not accept outside medication.

Lynnwood Municipal Jail Inmate Inquiry

Generally, if an inmate is arrested and held in custody they will seen by the Lynnwood Municipal Court on the next business day (excluding weekends and some holidays). Court times for people in custody are 8:00am Monday through Friday.


release date and time

Release dates can be found on the Inmate Roster. Inmates are released around the time they were originally arrested.
Lynnwood Municipal Jail Inmate Inquiry

Inmate released by bail, bond, or court order will be released as soon as possible.

Bail can be posted in the following forms (with proper identification):

  • Bail bond from court approved bonding company (current list of approved bonding companies is available at the front counter of Lynnwood Police Department)
  • Cashier's check made out to the City of Lynnwood
  • Money order made out to the City of Lynnwood
  • We strongly recommend that you call 425 670-5648 to inquire as to what the charges are, the exact dollar amount and whether the bail is bondable or cash only.
