2019 Paving Program - Completed

The 2019 Overlay & Curb Ramp Project was the second year of a multi-year commitment to complete annual paving projects. Project construction was completed on 188^th St. SW. and 51^st Pl. W. and included:

• Full depth repair of pavement in selected areas
• Grind and overlay of pavement in selected areas
• Upgrading curb ramps
• Replacing pedestrian pushbuttons

The City thanks you for your support of our streets. We realize the construction process might create some inconvenience for residents, pedestrians, motorists, and businesses. We appreciate the patience and cooperation you demonstrated during this effort. 

188th St SW:

• Pavement repair and curb ramp construction on 188th St SW will be from SR99 to 48th Ave W
• Pavement repair of full depth repair in both the east and westbound lanes from SR99 to 52nd Ave
• Portions of 2-inch grind and overlay from 52nd Ave to 48th Ave W
• New curb ramps at 55th Ave W, 52nd Ave W, 51st Pl W, and 48th Ave W
• Pedestrian push buttons installed at the signalized intersections
• Curb Ramps
• New pedestrian push buttons

51st Pl W:

• The limits for the pavement repair for this project will be from 188th St SW to the cul-de-sac.
• Pavement repairs will consist of grinding the existing roadway 1-inch and raising the grade of the roadway 2 inches to strengthen the pavement section.
• Areas of full depth repair.
• Curb Ramps
