Streets, Pavement and Traffic

42nd Ave W Project

The City Center’s core is the 42nd Avenue West corridor. This is a future street that will provide access and connectivity to future high-rise development.

196th ST SW(SR-524) Improvement Project

This project plan is to add two more lanes (one in each direction). It will also include median barriers, wider sidewalks and landscape features. These improvements will accommodate the growth of City Center. The improvements will also create an enhanced pedestrian environment with a boulevard appearance.

Poplar Way Extension Bridge

Construction of an arterial bridge across I-5 connecting existing intersections of Poplar Way/196th Street SW and 33rd Avenue West/Alderwood Mall Boulevard.

2018-2022 Paving Program

5 year paving program to balance preservation with replacement of the City streets.

Traffic Signal Rebuild Program

Improvement and restoration of the City's Signal systmes.

204th ST SW Paving Project

Paving of 204th St SW from 76th Ave W east for approx. 450 ft. with a walking amenity.

Intersection Improvement Project

Intersection Improvement Priority projects and potential projects from data and suggestions from the safety study findings.
